Time Eat the Soul,Jacques Rivette's Beautiful Troublemaker

Jacques Rivette's Beautiful Troublemaker (1991) had two versions,  a little less than four hours and two hours a little. Shorter seemed having beden re-edited at the time of the DVD release, subsequently seen at the theater at that time, there was no chance to see, I saw the shorter of the first time two hours little.

However, since the structure itself of the story is simple, it does not mean there is a content varying just because film was almost half the time.  Original story was Balzac, and a painter who works few, already supposed to have been past the heyday (Michel Piccoli), but had become unfinished by several years wife  (Jane Birkin) to model work , and it will be resumed in women (Emmanuelle Beart) model that met in casual opportunity, to complete. However, painter  would suppose that work to destroy the peaceful life of the now , filled the work in the wall.

In fact, glance at that works, Beart was looks like soul was taken Sucking, so break up also with the lover. Most of scene , the painter is running the brush , pause was changed one after another by the instruction, and the sound , a variety of writing instruments that rub the canvas,go ran canvas is filled with .

Because only saw each version once, I affirm the I can not be, it is to seem to be superior to the four-hour version, because is showing us explicitly becoming a thing . For example, America　By Night of Truffaut is show me the back of the filming, but when the multiplayer of about cinematography are involved, seems to be showing the back of the trick gimmick, an exclamation to its sophistication ,but not very mysterious part.

I myself, a skeptical about that there is force of art that would leave took in an instant the soul, not nearly such an experience. And rather approachable difficulty, still have not fitness, but is indifferent to it that can not be withstand disturbing, review and reread many times, you will notice the first time that they are cut into the soul . At such process  two hours was at least too short for me,  not enough, even four hours.
